During the IBC in Amsterdam (12-16 September 2014), we (Shoot the Rabbit) are going to organize a special expo called R3D Light District - Frame Grab Fest. We want to showcase R3D frame grabs and we are especially interested in the stories behind the frame grabs.
SOME INSPIRATIONAL EXAMPLES (thought up by us
)
Please send us your story and the specific frame grab: what is the location? What were you filming? And with which purpose? And what makes it your most interesting, funny, sad or maybe even boring frame grab?
On top of that we are going to organize an evening with free beers (13th september) to meet fellow R3D users. R3D users can submit their frame grab and their stories to R3D@shootthrabbit.nl or to our project space info@oz-amsterdam.nl
Deadline: August 18, 2014
Exhibition date: 12-14 september (after exhibition hours from 18.00 till 22.00)
The expo and drinks will be in Oz. Amsterdam, located in the R3D Light District of Amsterdam - http://www.oz-amsterdam.nl/ Oz Amsterdam is an initiative of different creative companies and Shoot the Rabbit is part of this collaboration. In the past we organized a lot of successful events and expositions. To get an impression please have a look at our Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/oz-amsterdam/
SOME INSPIRATIONAL EXAMPLES (thought up by us
)- The Freezing frame grab: “We really pushed the Epic to the limit. With -35ºC and our eyes almost freezing…"
- The Lucky frame grab: “I accidentally kept recording. Call it luck or fate, they never came so close to the camera before…”.
- Cover frame grab: “Switching from still to RED Epic photography this is my first frame grab that made it as cover on Vogue magazine”
- Birth of RED frame grab: “This is the first frame grab of a pixel ever recorded on our first build sensor” - Maybe you can send in this one in Jarred )
