Hi all. This is spontaneous and sometimes this is best. Dunno if its superfluous or inappropriate, but this is what I think and feel right now as good as I can put it in words for the moment.
I am from Europe. What we know about your fires is relatively nothing.
We see images on TV and in the newspapers but do we know how you organize you life around the fires, especially what is happening now, compared to what California usually experiences every year ? What seems normal for us when we see the news every summer ?
Greece was new, this is new. It has other dimensions. Completely. Its huge and I am excited and frightened by what I see at the same time.
My mom called me pyromaniac and hell I love fire, explosives and stuff. But this scares me.
Suddenly I feel small. How unable we seem to protect what we achieved, built, even unable to protect lifes of the ones we love or what again protects them.
I saw the photos in JIMs THREAD and read the posts. All those replies. reduser gets so incredible personal and emotional within the blink of an eye thats incredible.
I do not know how you usually behave, but I suggest all at RED may and maybe should take a break, do whatever can be done or just take a deep breath of fresh air somewhere. You have my blessing.
Fight for your home, for your future, more than that for your life.
Don't take any risks, especially not for RED, I mean - it is material, business, ideas, right ? Nothing that can't be brought back or recreated.
And don't get me wrong, I would be so sorry for that whole RED thing. Its amazing what you all achieved and it indeed is a little miracle. But hey, it is still not worth a single mans life.
How long ever that break may take and however the delivery schedule might be affected. Right now - I couldn't care less.
