This is my first time posting footage I've shot here at Reduser.

I had a great opportunity this last year to shoot the Calgary Destination "Right Here" video.
It's had more than 75,000 views in 72 hours. We shot for 11 days.

95% shot 5k EPIC so we could pull stills. The rest were 5D time-lapse, and some C300.

Great work Dan

I hope you don't mind me asking.

Can we please get a few more technical details?
Which lenses did you use?
Was the interior and exterior evening stuff done on Red or C300's ?
As you were pulling stills from the footage what was the shutter speed or angle used for most of it?

Nice One

Warmest wishes

Adrian

Looks great. I really appreciate the variety of shots, focal lengths, setups, framings, etc. You can really see the time and work you guys put in.

I also noticed some nice tilt-shift. Was that done in post, or in-camera? If in camera, are you using Canon or Nikon TS lenses, or Medium Format lenses with adapters? Always like to see how people approach their TS work.

Thanks for sharing.

Shot Full 5k. Post crop. Almost everything was shot 60fps 23.98 time base.
I can't remember what I did with shutter. I'll have to look back at my notes but greater than 180• 1/48 for sure.

Lenses were our Zeiss Super Speeds, Duclos 11-16, and our 45mm shift and tilt, our Technocooke 18-90mm was used as well. I also rented a 135mm Zeiss and a Canon 300mm converted Pl lens.

The TiltShift?Fake blur...

is distracting and IMHO cheapens the video...

But aside from that.... Where's the snow? : )

All in all nice video, Dan.

To each their own I guess. I like it my self.

We shot right into November and 2 days in December. Just happened that it didn't snow. We hoped for it but it just didn't happen.

Thanks Paul. I didn't know there was yet another Scarlet in Calgary! Ya. Upgrading to Epic really is the best choice. We just ordered our Dragon sensor..

Great work Dan

Was the interior and exterior evening stuff done on Red or C300's ?

It was about 95% Epic - there were just a few shots when ours wasn't available and they used the C300. Otherwise it would have been Epic for all of the video, and 5D for the timelapse.

cheers,

Colin

Thanks Ryan,

Sorry to hear of all of your Scarlet woe's... I hope it's sorted out soon. Trade it in for an EPIC.

Hi Dan,

Great stuff...
