  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

C300 vs. Scarlet-X lowlight

Hrvoje, there was nothing unfair about his post. He gave us two stills, and gave us the settings used. Draw your own conclusions. Why not go perform this test for us if you desire otherwise? You're quick to demand it of Sebastian.

I can tell you one thing; steam from the smokestacks in the background is going to be insignificant in bouncing light to the foreground. The C300 has better low-light sensitivity. Get over it.

Niko...you seem to have guessed something wrong and missed some things, the point being one of them.

Insignificant ? I did draw my own conclusions. They are, with such different lighting, there is nothing to be said about this test.
C300 sure has a sweet sensor but even if it cost half what it does I would buy a scarlet with my eyes closed.

I agree. I would not shoot RAW for these kinds of "dosposable" productions.

David
I used some c300 c-log files on a asus ux31 ultrabook. So if you want to use one of the mentioned cameras i would know which one i would choose because of ease of file handling on the road.
But these cameras especialy the Scarlet are heading for a different market. Each has its own place where it can shine.
