I've been flying under the radar a bit since the Holidays - haven't been posting much here or my even on my blog OffhollywoodBuzz ... I've been laying some groundwork for the spring and working on some deals. Much exciting stuff to share in the weeks leading up to NAB

I'm back.

Here's a little accessory porn - C-Motion LCS wireless system on the RED PRO 18-85mm -

The C-Motion is a sexy machine ain't it? We have one out on a two-camera RED feature right now and they really set up nicely together.

C-Motion was good to work with. Easy to calibrate. The only thing for me was a small delay in reaction time. Some moments that can be critical. Overall a great unit though.

C-Motion (Made in Austria) supposed to be the best lens control system ever.

That system can "measure" and "record" any lens data from newer and older lenses even from still lenses.

Starting with a "basic" RED kit about € 10.000 to full system about € 60.000.

But then you can totally control (wireless, remote. etc.) all your lenses.

C-Motion presentation video(s) here>>>

Also RED IMS users can benefit with CMotion because they can get (ingest) lens data from

Cooke S4s via separate cable to memory card.

Looking forward to get it before I buy any new lens (PL or still) to "crown" my RED1.

Did I mention the ARRI UMC-3A and the NEW ARRI motors?

Um, Mark, I didn't think we were supposed to be posting about that puppy yet. :innocent:

This is going to be a very attractive system for some very specific reasons.

And when I know for sure what I can tell then I will!

The Arri gang DID clear me to post that. The ARRI UMC-3A was actually on display at IBC as well.

Hey Mark,

How do you like the Optitek lens support? How would you say it compares to the Duclos unit? Looks like the handle and beefier ring would come in handy.

Cool buttons. I'll talk to Arri.
