  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bypass Color Grade in 4K....Consequences?

I'm hoping someone can help me out with this little conundrum I find myself in. I just finished editing a music video where I cut with the proxies. Due to timing and money it looks like we are unable to color time to the 4K using the scratch system. My producer wants to output a HDcam Master to color time to that. Can I get by going straight to tape and color timing that way? Do I try to push the delivery date so I can use the crimson>redcine workflow and do a pass on the 4k before I go to tape?

Any thoughts are much appreciated.
