BUYING a used EPIC - does a buyer keep the sellers place in the DRAGON upgrade queue?

Hi

I posted in a for sale thread where the seller of an EPIC points out his camera is due for a Dragon upgrade very soon.

I asked in the thread if a buyer would really retain the sellers position in the queue. I understood it was not transferable and a new buyer would go to the back of REDs DRAGON upgrade queue. Pretty simple question and clearly helps any buyers.

Coincidentally I read in another thread today a reduser had been hosed by sellers on REDUSER 5 or 6 times in the last year or so. Correcting misleading adverts seems like a way to avoid surprises when dealing on REDUSER.

Now I see a mod has "cleaned up" the thread removing my polite question asking for clarity (the misleading wording remains).

Why would a mod remove my question but not ask the seller to clarify his post? Does this help REDUSERS? A seller making his camera look like it can be DRAGON upgraded quickly is an attractive (but inaccurate) selling point.

So, with the mod removing my question but leaving the misleading advert, I now wonder, perhaps I was wrong? Are positions in upgrade queues transferable?

If they are I`d love to hear it!

the camera will lose it's place in line. the camera must must belong to the original owner (at least nominally) until after the upgrade is complete .

and a good way to do this might be not doing a transfer of ownership until after the upgrade then...making a 1 dollar buy in deal with the current owner...wait til after the upgrade and send them a buck? that is how people did this before on previous upgrade/line situations i remember
