Thought i'd give everyone a heads up about this and to be cautious when purchasing your Red.
I was approached by a fraudulent Epic seller whilst on my mission to purchase the camera. He originally contacted me through this forum as I placed a (WTB) post. He seemed very polite at first and sent me hi res images of an Epic which I thought seemed legit. We moved on and negotiated a price so it looked like we had a great deal (on my end...too good of a deal). In his original emails he had very broken english and claiming he was from Spain. As we continued to get closer to the sale, he was quite fluent and could understand me very well.
I thought this was odd, so I ended up tracking his IP address and his emails were being sent from the United States whilst saying he was in Spain. As a film maker, you tend to travel so I looked passed it and gave him the benefit of the doubt. He turned down simple requests such as putting today's newspaper next to the camera, stating he was too busy. I started to question him and arranged a meeting point before the sale. My father was heading into Valencia that week so he could make sure it was real. The seller agreed to this which put my hopes up again.
Once it got to the day of the meeting I received an email. He said he couldn't make it because he had a large business deal of $45k to attend to, so my sale was not important enough. He later replied demanding half the money to be sent and that the camera was very real. Of course he will send once he receives the payment.
This gave me 100% confirmation the guy was full of sh*t and I bailed from the seller.
Only till now I have found the images he sent to me are located on this website

Moral of the story, don't let your passion get in the way of common sense. Thankfully I ended up getting a real Red Epic from a genuine film maker from this forum and i'm in RED heaven.
The fraudulent sellers "name" was Luis Braz and his email address was luisbraz86@gmail.com
Be cautious everyone!
