This person is trying to sell a Scarlet, Side Handle, Lens Mount, and Side SSD for "$3,000" and insisting you email them outside of eBay before purchasing:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RED-SCARLET-CAMERA-/261600543851?pt=Digital_Cameras&hash=item3ce89b846b

Does anyone currently own 00675? I see that it's been listed in the marketplace here before.

The auction is obviously fake, since they could list for over $6K as buy-it-now and sell within minutes (that would more than cover eBay fees on a $3K listing).

Yes, I noticed it earlier today as well (here) as well as a VERY similar one a couple days ago. All by '0' feedback sellers and all offering a "$3000" Buy-it-now option. The giant red flag was that the links in the auction weren't actually text (which would have been flagged and removed by eBay) but instead are images that use the same font so they appear to be part of the official auction text. I'd definitely avoid this one. I've been reporting these to eBay so hopefully they can investigate further and prevent someone from losing a lot of $$.

SCAM ALERT!!!! Red One on eBay (buy it now $3000)

SCAM ALERT!!!! Red One on eBay (buy it now $3000)

They're at it again!! Auction: www.ebay.com/itm/221566059201

This time with a Red One camera (which is a little more concerning because now the $3000 pricetag is somewhat more reasonable than it was for an Epic or Scarlet). Still the same requirement to "email before bidding" and still the same photo of text that appears to be actual text, so eBay can't auto-block it.

I did a quick search on Google for the exact eBay auction title and found the same photos of this exact camera which actually sold in August for $7100.
So it's a CONFIRMED SCAM (as if that wasn't obvious to us already).
Most of the folks here are not going to fall for this, but I'm sure some less experienced folks might, so just wanted to spread the word. Can't stand thieves.

Hoping we can all keep looking out for these phony auctions and keep reporting them to eBay.

Typical ebay scam .....no trading history or using someone else's cracked account with history.

The give aways are, short auction deadline (hoping to get a sucker before ebay shut them down ). JPEG picture with text in it saying something "this has a buy it now price email blah, blah ( again trying to avoid ebay robots looking for text files with similar wording) and usually posted on the weekend or public holidays, again hoping to get a sucker before they are shutdown.

The only way I would buy a red off ebay is if they quoted a legit serial number and I could pick it up in person .

What boggles my mind is that there's 38 idiots bidding on this completely obvious scam. People need to do some research and open their eyes before jumping into online related purchases
