Increasingly the business model for Red One is getting harder! with the widespread adoption meaning prices have fallen and the markets generally suffering from the recession the view of clients is this is a commodity and they increasingly want more for less. This maybe true of many camera types but is especially true when the initial cost is lower and thus the list price to begin with in lower. Labor & premises are the biggest costs and if it takes just as long to set-up a low cost camera as an expensive camera the maths will eventually fail and thats whats starting to affect Red rentals not a good situation! Equally client wrongly assume that if the camera is cheaper everything else should be also and if they can get a high % discount for X camera this should be true of Y camera the road to meltdown!
