  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

3 weeks ago we shot the new music video for Bushido in Munich.
Bushido is a famous or better the most famous and successful Rapper in Germany.
We shot the whole video in 1 and a half day, editing was done on FCP, online session and Color Correction was done in Scratch.

we had some minor problems with the CF module which where solved in no time by RED support. Rest of the shooting went perfectly well. We used build 17

Very, very good. The color and image look superb. As you said, you only had 1.5 days. My only suggestion would be to add some different locations and a few more setups. But sometimes budget does not allow for these things.

Bushido is definitely one of my favorite rappers right now. I blast "Ching Ching" every time I'm at the gym, or out drinking beer and shooting under the stars. :)

BTW, was "Ching Ching" shot on Red?

Well executed. Enjoyable product indeed. My only exception would be using the same shot or setup several times ad nauseum. It's not reiteration, just an usual technique in most of videoclips. Not unpleasant over here, though. And it will be a success -- that's for sure (also yours) !

Manuel, are you from portuguese or spanish origin by any chance?

I miss my beloved and adopted Germany, actually.

Bump for Bushido. I bet this guy is attracting a lot of attention with international labels.

funny thing that, I find a music video here to a popular American song, (well done and beautifully sang by the way. I love to hear the human voice in a language I don't fully understand. It gives me chance to appreciate the vocal quality of the voice as an instrument rather than the artist as a poet).

Only after my lingual skill are stretched and that part of my brain is once again active do I find Tom here blasting and wondering about the shooting of "ching ching." Ching ching is the Japanese word for pen1s

I met Bushido (or Anis - his real name) 4 or 5 times at his former label. He`s a strange and quite disturbing guy who uses to hang around with some really creepy people...

BTW, I didn`t know that the clip was shot on Red...
 
Nice Job. Funny, I was the DP on the last Bushido musicvideo shot on my RED.
Bushido is a realy nice guy. I had a good time working with him.
For all who dont know him in the US, he is as big as Eminem in the states.

i saw karel live almost 15 years ago - he really rocks ... he is the east european incarnation of tom jones ;-)

Whoa! You DP'd Ching Ching? for some reason, the first time I saw that video, I felt 95% sure it had been shot on a Red. Excellent job. You just went up a couple of notches in my book.
