  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

As Now as to your question about the RED touch LCD. We have used the RED LCD to setup the camera but have not used it for monitoring. I am hoping that I can talk with RED about making a special LEMO cord that is not so heavy duty and a little longer and more maluable so it won't interfere with the gimbal. My hope is to eventually use the RED 5.6" monitor as my primary on board monitoring system when I don't need immediate Pro REs files from my Atomos monitor.

It really is a treat to just shoot off the hip and come up with ideas on the fly and be shooting them in relatively short amount of time. I am not saying the MOVI replaces any other tools in the marketplace but that it is a new tool for all of us to use out there that will inspire so much new creative ideas we never had thought of before. Good luck Liam, can't wait to see all the MOVI videos when people start receiving theirs

Again great stuff with the BTS. Very happy you included the window pass :) Had a chuckle seeing the glass cutter at work :)

Re RED touch, right, ok, as I feared. A plus one on that cable. I wonder if anyone of the all so clever people on here could suggest a work around? Or perhaps RED itself?? I'm sure Sound Devices has some quite flexible style Lemos but there's undoubtedly a dozen issues I'm not aware of as this is definitely not my strong suit.
Anyone able to help?

Would be interested in that cable too, would be perfect if Red could make it themselves, that way we'd be sure that it's made the right way...
Maybe like this one, but shorter... I wonder what the ideal length would be ?

Hope it comes in time for 2 of my projects. One at sea shooting a lighthouse from a boat at night and the other in a massive man made cave complex under the sea ( we did stedicam in the recce trip , I was not totally happy with the shots).
