Burning Man: Help

I'm planing my trip to buring man (I know I have 1 week) and the main problem is recharging my equipment.

Anyone with experience on Burning Man to charge equipment?

Are there any solar panels for V-Mount Battery that I can take in the plane?

If you can't bring a generator then go chat with one of the big camps. I am sure they would be cool with you charging some batts off one their mega generators.

You bringing your red cam? Your kinda crazy if so, things going be destroyed after that alkaline dust gets to it. And that's coming from a guy who brings his red cam into pretty much every other weather situation other then burning man... although I have actually never brought it out there so can't say from experience.

Anyone else in reduser land bring their red cam to burning man? If so how did it fare ?

There will be plenty of generators around if you can't bring your own. Just make sure to buy some booze to trade for the power!

I brought a camera to burning man in 2007, not a red but a huge HVX w/ 35mm adapter setup. Basically had it inside a rain bag with all of the seams taped with gaff. It did fairly well...the lenses on the other had took a bit of a beating.
