  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bump?

it's usually considered bad netiquette (Internet Etiquette) to BUMP your thread more often than every 24hrs, and even that can get you banned in some forums!
Yep, that's us.

QUOTE: "ericyoung. I always thought BUMP was short for Bringing Up My Post" - That brings up a faint recollection from a junior file-clerking past in the 60's, when humans were mundanely tasked for things that people do for themselves on computers these days. When folders were cleared from "out trays" they would be tagged with either of two labels or scribbled letters in caps on the bottom right corner of the last page. BU = "bring up" followed by a date which was entered along with the file number in a "bring up diary" or FD = "file down" which was "put it away action concluded". On the due date, the file would have to be hunted down, relentlessly if necessary and bunged into the boss's "bring up tray". The memories of "blood on the manila folder" from the metal spikes going in under the side of the fingernail - sorely missed??? - NOT, along with the scarf of hide ploughed out of the shoulder and sleeve torn clean out of the shirt by somebody leaving a key in the metalux cabinet by the entry door to the overstuffed file room. The good Lord in his beneficence granted us Microsoft and its clones. The kicker I suppose was that it also did a lot of people out of mundane but otherwise paid jobs in the interests of productivity where less now do the work of more. When a file became so thick it became unwieldy, it joined its older brothers of the same name or number, tied together by red coloured 7/16"bias binding, a cloth band which came on a roll, otherwise known as "red tape". It then spent its retiring days in "the archives".---- Now this little discourse has been an unproductive diversion. --- Get back to the edit suite.
