Hey all,

I'm planning on building a new RED ONE kit (without lenses).

Budget (incl camera body) = $30000.

It'd be great if experienced RED users can build a RED kit for that budget and let me know through this thread what works best with RED ONE. What say? It should be useful for all RED(new)bies.

Looking forward to reading the responses.

Thanks in advance.
Best,
Shri

Hi Shri,

The final package would entirely depend on the destined use.

That said, on a tight budget (which is my situation and hence close to my setup), here is a list.

Camera Body 17,500
Production Pack 1,250
Power pack 1,450
LCD 5.6" 1,700
EVF 2,950
CF Module 500
CF 8GB (x2?) 199
Red Drive 900
Drive Cable 180

3rd PARTY Items

Matte Box 1,000
Follow Focus 1,500
LCD (HDMI1080p) 500

Ofcourse this means you still need a support system. If the 30K was meant to include that you need to trade off either the EVF or RED LCD.

Hopefully this provides you with a scratch point to begin your quest.
