  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Building a Library of Images for Everyone

I had a very busy weekend, but I managed to get some new fantasy textures done. Possibly useful for VFX or maybe other things.

First up, some seamless bumpy stone textures that look like they could be covered with moss, algae or maybe lichens. These might look cool for pathways. They are here:

Btw, if you happen to have kids (or know someone who does) I’ve created a learning series that teaches them environmental stewardship in a fun way through stories and characters. It was my first try at making films with a DSLR…(they can be very challenging to work with in the field)…but I think they came out pretty well. The organization I made them for was very happy with them and uses the films all the time…hopefully others can benefit from them as well. Please feel free to share with family, friends, teachers or anyone you know who might find them useful.

Have you considered generating normal and/or bump maps for any of your textures? I suspect you would get a lot more downloads if these were included. In some cases they are a lot easier to create at acquisition time versus re-creating later.

Thanks for checking out my site...I really appreciate it! To be honest, my images are really meant to be building blocks rather than finished textures so I encourage everyone to edit the as needed and to generate their own normal maps. Plus, maps that I generate might not necessarily suit someone else's needs.

Hey everyone,

For those of you who have been using my original music in your projects, I’ve had a good number of requests for uncompressed versions of my tracks, so I’ve begun making them available on Gumroad for a small fee to help support the site. The MP3 files that I make freely available sound very good, but the original uncompressed WAV files really sound incredible…give them a try!

If anyone is curious as to why I didn’t upload WAV files onto my site to begin with, the reason is that my web hosting service places limitations on file sizes and WAV files tend to be very large.

Anyhow, it’s going to take some time to upload everything, so if anyone has any requests for WAV versions of tracks you happen to like, just drop me an email and I’ll upload them to Gumroad for you. Feel free to convert to Ogg (or any format you like.)
