OK... here it is. This build works with both Mysterium and Mysterium-X sensors in the RED ONE. Includes FLUT™ Color Science and a ton of other goodies. Use with REDCINE-X 104 and above.

Have fun!

hopefully this will be a way to get color continuity between old and new making it easier to intercut m and m-x sensors.

thanks red team.

I suggest everyone go through and read the manual for Build 30.. a few things have changed going forward that you guys should be aware of and test for yourselves.

Old footage can match new if you re-open your old footage in REDCINE-X 104 and re-White Balance. Use REDcolor and REDgamma for both.

beauty, eh?

But I also meant that the build must squeek a bit more out of the M sensor, no?

Lots of U/I stuff has changed so please read the manual.

Histogram is RGB.
Goal Posts are RAW
Barber Pole is RAW
Stop Lights are RAW
RAW Check is the single most valuable new tool.

We'd love some feedback. Some will be up late tonight.

thanks team!
Can´t wait to up FLUT on camera,
shadow is on display menu too??

default ISO ratin in Misterium sensor is now 800??
must be a mistake on page 34 of the new manual?
Or Mr. Natress do it again? :-))

build 30 seems like a totally new build. think of it as the new build 1 perhaps.

it seems that you now have the ability to use tools like false color to meter both RAW and/or REDColor, etc. with Metadata.

what about the histogram? is it locked to meter only RAW? would be good to have it be able to meter both RAW and with metadata.

the only issue we have seen with locking metering to RAW is that the sensor still seems to 'rate' around 320 ISO. So, knowing what we know now about being able to rate it at 500, 800, and sometimes more with great confidence, if you are shooting to protect highlights and therefore were setting your stop based on the rating of 800 ISO, the RAW meter tools (although good to have) don't apply to that setup.

It really seems like the opposite of what used to be true for the old RED. I would agree in the old way that you wouldn't want to use metering tools and set the camera at 800ISO, because the sensor would be errantly robbed of light. Now though, you have given us the ability to protect highlights, and it will be common for shooters to be setting stop based on 500 ISO - 800 ISO, and the RAW metering tools reflect the native 320 ISO.

This is slightly confusing as it runs contrary to the previous way of metering RED, but the new MX changes things dramatically, and if RAW metering locks you to looking at 320 ISO even though you KNOW you are going to bump it to 800 in post, all metering tools should be able to show how things are looking at this 800 ISO setting. Other than that, viewing RAW now makes everything look very dark, and metering RAW might encourage shooters to open up on the stop too much, if protecting their highlights is what they are trying to achieve.

Lots of improvements in build 30. RAW check is really great.

Why are histogram and "video" false color still RGB instead of RAW? This gets even more confusing with MX working at 800 ISO.
Will an improved rec.709 color/gamma be added? I wouldn't mind if Redspace goes away forever, the new redcolor/redgamma is so much better.

I allways felt that RedSpace was the deed of some dark SithLord...
