Hello everyone,

I'm going to be an assistant editor on a TV production and they chose to shoot it on Red with a firmware updated to v20.

My question is : Will metafuze handle R3D files correctly if i generate a rlx file with red alert ? If not, what is the difference in the transcoded file ?

Thx

MetaFuze v2 does not support any of the color science changes introduced with firmware v20 for the camera. We are working on that for the next release. Are you doing offline or online as well?

We are going to work offline and the lab is responsible for onlining the locked edit.

Is there a way to correct it via Red Alert or are the discrepancies too big ?

You may be able to since all you are looking for is good picture for editorial decisions. It may not be an issue. I would run some tests frst to confirm.
