So I confirm it's working. I can hear live and playback. Will be nice to be able to set volume on camera (if it's possible, it's digital is it?)
Unfortunately (Stuart Help!) there is a BUG!
The bug is that you will get Green Screen when the signal from audio is terminated or somehow corrupted little on way (as we using Wireless receivers on Red Bodies and sound guys are transmitting signal to it from the audio recorder (Aaton Cantare or DAT PD4). But when there is some issue and the sound is not going there continuously, the camera will not play it back. If you check the file in computer, proxies and R3D files are ok and the sound is choppy, but it plays and it's not problem. But in camera you will get this Green Screen Of Death and Audio Fault Playback Error.
So It's awesome to playback the footage with sound now, director is very happy. Unfortunately it makes everybody worries when you can't play it back because the audio transmission was cut during recording for any reason.
So please RED repair ASAP.
Then suggestion to menu: to turn on and of top and bottom bar of GUI I will use different name then "Shutter" and "The second one I can't remember now"
- It's possible to TURN OFF GUI just in EVF and keep it in LCD. Now it's the fuction just 50%. Cos when you operate it's nice not to have GUI in EVF but for control of stuff will be nice to have it on LCD for Focus Puller.
- How is DEAD PIXELS solved at RED? Any answer to that? We have one. There is nothing like Death Pixel Remapping... :-(
