  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

hey,
i'm going to test build 17 the same way as build 16 on harsh conditions at actual shooting. Please if already somebody have some reports of bugs, please share with us on one place. (Red will be nice to have same Build 17 Bugs separate forum)

I've been hitting it VERY hard for a while now - ZERO issues - but I'll post if I hit any.
 
I shot Build 17 up at Bear Mtn. for that snowboarding contest and it worked out better than I thought it would. I could leave my EVF plugged in and the camera wouldn't get hung up on the boot up.

I can't play anyclip with audio under 17. I only get a green screen with "audio-fault". When I try to play a clip without audio, it is ok
 
Green Screen? Looks like QuickTime codec problem.Try to install new version.
This problem allready fixed in update
 
I was asking if anyone had success playing from the CAMERA out the HD-SDI output and getting audio to their monitors?

According to B17 release notes embedded audio is enabled....I cant seem to get it to work.

Just to be clear for anyone joining this thread, on the receiving device maybe, but not on the RED-ONE camera.
 
Playback of material shot at 100fps in 2K 16:9 did not work, resulted in broken/shifted image on camera playback. Reverted to B16 and the problem went away. Did not test other varispeed rates as the client was waiting for the next shot. Converting back to B16 was a breeze though.
 
Yes, embedded audio is functioning on the Red...if you have a Panasonic 1700 Monitor it will need an optional card. I assumed it was standard as all my other monitors are.

Can you retrieve and post the camera LOG file (its in the MEDIA menu) to RED tech support please?
