Dear god this is fun! So I couldn't help myself, I had to try something new, so I started experimenting and came up with this. I actually shot it at 320iso!! This is something I would have cranked to 1000 on Build 15 and before. I didn't grade it at all, I just couldn't bring myself to do that. Never has "flat" looked so cool to me. This is the straight up images out RedAlert, default settings all the way, scaled to 1024x512 h264. I let the shot linger longer than I normally would just so you could soak it in.

This is a great build guys!!!

Shawn... great test. Looks like you are discovering what we have been so excited about.

Jim

Very Nice. Any chance you could re-create the same shot on Build 15 so we could see a direct comparison.

Very cool...looks perfect.

The only thing I would like to see is that fire dancing around at 180fps on a new Scarlet! Or a Red.

Damn all this stuff is exciting..thanks for posting this-

Jim Jannard, you're going to be rich with RED! Oh yeah you already are rich! Seriously though, just really cool stuff. Thx.

I'm feeling a proud father, again...
Oh yes, actually not a real father (sorry Jim), a proud uncle?

El.....is there something your not telling us?

I am sorry but I can not believe any of this voodoo image making till I see it for myself!!!

Great Shawn!

Absolutely fantastic!!!

B16 is going to be one of the biggest RED summer hits

also with Birger and PST IMS together...

Hope Beta 16 comes before the end of next week.

Monday is a good day for Christmas.

Will B16 be the last major overhaul release for the Red?
Can you take the image further after this? Or are you pushing the image to its absolute limits with this build?

Phaz, no hidden secret...
Just some excitement for the image. If it's true (no doubt, here) this build will make the Redone significantly better.

Incredible achievement.

And I'm feeling proud again.

Good question. Don't know the answer... yet. Two years ago we knew nothing. Now we know something. We just don't know how much we know.

Jim

But Jim, when will we know how you know what you know?

Did I mention how stoked I am to be getting a new camera? Thanks

Why?? I am beyond happy. When you're promised a BMW and instead get a Lambo, you don't ask what else is in the garage!!

I hope the image stays exactly like this!! Build 17 needs to be: TC & audio over HD-SDI, i lens data and sleep modes.

But more image work? No way!!
