  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Build 101 plus Windows...

Small request for later consideration.

Another SnapShot Setting OPTION - 'Email Version'

On a recent job I was required to urgently email 33 shots in one email, so I was wondering if it would be an idea, to include a SnapShot Setting 'Email Version' OPTION, producing Email Size Quality e.g. say 1280x640 and 640x 320 under 1 MB, as a quick Email option. (Sometimes high quality is not required, speed is more the issue)

no problem. it's added it to the list now.

Deanan, is the "save as" option gonna be effective for the future Windows build ?

And does this option allow to save the bins, all the looks applied individually to each clip ?

I'm asking because 3 bins aren't enough if you've got a lot of clips to work on, unless you can save different parts of work this way.

Thanks, I really appreciate the way Redcine-X progresses, it's gonna be a very usueful app.

I would love the ability to save, rename and organize unlimited bins. Would be nice to be able to make a bin called 'Day 01' and then a bin for each mag I would call 'Roll 01', 'Roll 02', etc. Being able to view these bins in a list view similar to a
final cut pro browser window would be awesome.

Tried searching but no luck...

Curious on the option of "save current look to camera."

Keep getting asked about taking looks from computer to camera
and RCX is the first option i've seen that reflects that but is 'greyed out.'

Thanks for any help!

Posted this in the RedCineX thread also

Hey, RedCineX is great, and the speed of the builds are great, but I'm curious about the amount of builds. The release on the support page is still on build 54 and still listed as early beta, we're now up to build 101 for the experimental build, and these experimental builds are coming at an amazing rate. What is the time frame and order of the new functions in the experimental builds to start appearing in a non-beta version, and which of the experimental builds is considered the most stable? Not bitching, just curious

Stuart, I think Deanan's post #312 on the Redcine X feedback thread is probably the answer to your question. That is, I take that to mean it will never be out of beta until the user declares he or she has all the tools necessary to fill their particular needs.

Eric, on Page 8 (I think) of the user's manual for RedcineX it states that this function is not yet enabled. probably will be during a future firmware release.

There's a bug with the save as we're looking into.
Saving a project saves the bins and the timeline plus grades.

You shouldn't have any problem with b64a and Sheer.

Has anyone tried it on OSX?

When we do a full UI pass, we'll be upgrading the bin architecture also.
List view is already there though.

Correct. We're waiting for a the build to go along with saving looks.
