A most excellent piece of software! Well done.

However I've noticed a couple of bugs.

1 - When I first load a clip and hit 'play' the sound plays back at super-speed. The pitch sounds normal, but the speed is something like 20x normal.

2 - There's a bug with exporting .exr files. If I export to .exr, and then import that as an image sequence elsewhere, the brightness wanders all over the place.

BTW what is the bit depth of the .exr file Storm produces? Is it 12? Or is it set at 16, ready for the next RED cameras? I ask because the files are huge. And it would be nice if the manual stated, at least briefly, what the various export compression types were.

Nice work. Looking good. :yesnod:

Hi Karel, thanks for the feedback!

1. For the audio playing fast, does that happen for all clips for you? Could you send us an example file? If so, can you drop a mail to beta-storm@thefoundry.co.uk and we'll arrange an ftp account.

2. I'll give the exr export a spin now with Nuke to see if I can repro.

I've since tried other clips (not a lot here at home!) and the sound is ok with them, but the one I posted about still demonstrates the same bug. It's from a BBC drama, so you'd think they'd not be doing anything out of the ordinary sound-wise. I'll email for this ftp thingy.

I'll also now PM you a link to a QT on YTube of the EXR test. Can't post that footage publicly.

Crashes on changing workspace. OK going from Review to Edit, crashes the other way.

Hi Karel, good news! We have managed to repro this and have logged it as issue: 15661

many thanks,
Dan

Mystery solved!

I've got an interesting one... when viewing a clip directly from the intray in review window setup - the clip refuses to play back in realtime, even when cached. Switch to editing mode and viola - instant playback speed boost.

Also got some corruption of graphics when sticking metadata tags on - the onscreen options for frame, clip and group seem to corrupts on screen. plus a few random screen glitches where the viewing window flicks on and off black (Tends to happen when caching and playing back at the same time I think... but the cache seems to be well ahead of the playhead)

Metadata
I've noticed in the timeline that If I add tags to the clips in the timeline, then I view the metadata of those clips, that the metadata isn't updating with the tags that I've added.
