I'm curious about what happened to Clayton and the BSRT FF...

I couldn't wait any longer and bought a nice FF4 kit with all the trimmings. I re-read through this thread and have to wonder where some people buy their FF4's at. Ian, you paid nearly $6K for your kit and still didn't get a whip and a crank?? Dude, sorry to say it, but you got f*$#&d.

Hey all,

We are still hard at work resolving our design and initial prototype.

Two factors have conspired to slow things down. The machine shop we were contracting with to finish our prototype had to take a 4 week break from working with us to take a much higher paying job and stay in business in these tough times. The second issue was that our initial gearbox design for the reversing gear had too much play and created unacceptable slop in the mechanism. We are making new drawings are should have parts out soon.

Kirby, I have refunded your deposit via Paypal. You have my deepest apologies.

Anyway, keep in mind we are guys just like you, doing this project in addition to our work-a-day film production job, etc.

We have not given up. It's just proven to take longer than we anticipated, :sad:
