I was watching this video https://vimeo.com/78481717 and was wondering how to get this even brownish skin tone (especially from 3mn50 to the end). Any skilled colorist knows how to do that in post?

About half way through I realized I was no longer watching it for quality or color...and started getting the point of the video. Thats usually the sign that it was done right. Nice emotional piece and very effective. Well done.

Chocolate filter will help

An experienced colorist will help. I've worked on several mostly-black TV shows (Moesha and Grownups are two I can think of) where we got involved in multiple tracking power windows on specific dark characters to help provide a little extra key light when needed. A lot hinges on good makeup and tests prior to the shoot, but the vast majority of it hinges on the DP providing enough fill and backlight to visually pull the character out from the background. I also find getting eye light in the right place to be critical.

Thanx. Marc, I'm talking about the specific global color correction in this video. Handheld with natural light.
