Hey guys,

One of our Weapons went down mid interview. Recording quicktime .MOV prores HQ files. We are only missing a couple minutes but I havent been able to repair the .MOV files with any of the tools suggested like Remo or Yodot. It keeps kicking back files that are "healthy".
Do you guys have any other tricks?

Thom

Just helping you think out loud. Most of the commercial repair tools approach the dilemma by attempting to replace the damaged header with a good header. The approach is a bit of guesswork as it assumes a generally good header will resurrect an unplayable file. The solution may technically have a correct header, but the video/audio streams don't always work. You could technically do the same thing by getting your hands on an some type Quicktime atom parser, which allows direct access and editing of QT resources, or use a Hex Editor.

Another possible approach, could be demux the audio and video tracks, and rewrap the the tracks into a new container.
