Hi

I've had my R1 MX since last december, and now first time I have a problem with it. A friend filmed some test shots in dark conditions, and when viewing the shots on computer, they show a "dead" grey bar on left bottom, but only on a few frames.
I haven't had any problems filming in daylight, but I haven't filmed in this dark conditions yet.

The material was filmed handheld on CF-cards, 4K 16:9, and I think ISO 1600.

I attached a picture, where you can see the grey bar.

Has anyone had same kind of problems, or do you have idea what it might be?

Only thing I can say is try a black shade, if that fails to fix the problem, RMA it.

I'll try that. But since it was only one frame in 2 shots out of ten, I don't think black shading will help. And this is a Battle Tested R1, so there's no warranty whatsoever.

Maybe I'll try to redo the scenario if I can get this happen again.

Any other suggestions?

Is the bar completely static when the camera moves, or does it change with a camera move or if the light from the left moves?

If it moves or changes, I'm betting it's a dim optical flare/reflection.

The bar only appears on one frame, so it is static. And it appeared in 3 clips out of 10, 1 frame in each, just randomly.

Can you set the ISO much higher in RCX-Pro and post a TIFF snapshot - it'll show up the issue more clearly.
