Hey guys!
I've been in post production on a feature-length project (which was shot on a Build 15 camera) for about a couple of months now and it looks like we have to go back to get one last shot. The rental house has already upgraded their cameras to Build 16 since then so that's what we'll have shoot on.
So.....
This might sound like a silly question, but say I've already done an offline/online workflow with Crimson/Redcine with the Build 15 footage I have and the onlined footage is already compressed down to ProRes on the timeline. Is it safe to say that I can treat the shot we need to capture on a Build 16 camera as a totally separate project, online it separately and drop it in?
Logic tells me yes, but I'm just making sure because I've learned over the last few months to NEVER assume anything with the RED workflow.
Thanks in advance!
