Saw this film yesterday and I have to say I loved the look, lighting style and production design. It seemed there was not a shot that wasn't crafted and considered and I really appreciated that about the entire look of the film.

Anyone else get a chance to see this one yet? The color palette, filtration, blown out highlights and lighting style left me appreciating cinema.

Here is the trailer

Great film. Only misgiving was for the last sequence from the train onwards..which I felt was too long and filled with too much patriotic Americana. Not necessary. But it is Spielberg. I understand that some will also see it as referential to filmmaking from the time, but as an American living in Europe for many years that kind of stuff does come to seem a little silly, and I gotta say most of the audience kind of just laughed and rolled their eyes at that point. Which is a shame as a conclusion for such a well thought out project.

Found it surprising too, that the Cohen Brothers wrote a good portion of the script. Well the apple never falls far from the tree.

yup. I agree on the last sequence. Just taken that smidgen too far. Script was pretty easy to telegraph.

But image wise, a lot of care taken.

I loved the look of Bridge of Spies, but thought the anamorphic splendor/grandeur almost took away from what is in truth, a very quiet...simple story.
