Breakthroughs...

[Joseph Ward]

What is this...

Almost 50 posts on reduser and not a single critical one?

This forum is not what it used to be.

Maybe we are all turning... decent? appreciative?

I'll put a stop to all this good cheer
Said Red thinking while drinking some beer

Who would think we would be such busy bees
Just humming and buzzing without any fussing

They said we got blood all over our hands
Red is caught and you know ''what'' handed

Sony is hurting and we don't care
Cause Reds trying so hard, just to be fair

They beg us, please, please go away
Red, stop hurting our monopoly by making a Name
Keep the old status quo
So just be, be the same

I wonder if it has anything to do with the unveiling of the new cheap mass-produced 256 gb Samsung SSD drives?

That's old stuff. I have tested those few months back. I'm getting in Dec the 512 model... :innocent:

All RED cameras will now include a Flux Capacitor...finally!!!!

[Tim Hole]

I can't even summon the strength to guess. Its like watching a Lynch film...you start off understanding (thinking you do), things get turned upside down, then go completely off the wall...eventually you realise that its all emotive and then its all over...and begins again

[Radoslav Karapetkov]

Gee... 220 MB/sec. I wonder what the sustained speed is.

And what if you RAID a few of those?

[Brandon Kraemer]

I hope the big news includes...

1. the end of Beta versions of Redcine and other Red software.
2. Red buys Crimson Workflow, rolls out a final release and integrates it's forum into this one. -OR- Redcine to accept EDL's, simplifying the proxy workflow.
3. Redcine gets improved OLPF controls.

Jim has discovered that Oakley glasses are superior to Canon lenses. Who knew?
gone mad with the paradigm shifts...CL

Didn't Jim sell Oakley for something like $2 billion?

[Joe G.]

Well if we're making predictions, I say higher ASA rating.

Has anyone mentioned black silicone?

[Tim Hole]

Has anyone mentioned black silicone?

Surely not far enough along! I have no reference or experience for this response. Its merely a layman remark

[Lexicon]

It wouldn't be Black Silicon. The manufacturing process is still in the development stages though I suspect it will eventually make it's way into products a few years from now.

Oh thank you for being so insulting. Please excuse my relatively nonexistent knowledge of sensor technology.

Pray tell: when is your new sensor coming out Timmy?

Edit: I think I got the wrong end of the stick there. My bad

Any idea on pricing?

[Ketch Rossi]

We had several nice breakthroughs today that will translate into Scarlet and EPIC. Details shortly...

As we stated... drastic changes, expect it and you won't be disappointed.

Jim

As said before you can only be :angry2: at this place or totally and madly in with all your heart... no in between

I for one belong to the second wave!!

ciao

Variable dynamic range 6 to 15 stops at the turn of the wheel,
the real dream!

[Brent J. Craig]

I wonder if this week's breakthrough's are related to this:

Micron Demos Super-Fast Solid-State Drives Running At 1GB Per Second

Please post links to what you know, I'm interested. The technology is at least 9 years old, so perhaps it's much further along than you think.

[Jeff Kilgroe]

Has anyone mentioned black silicone?

Here's your black silicone right here.

As for black silicon, I think we can only speculate at this point.

Does that mean shooters can go back in time to catch a shot they missed?:shifty:
