  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

No more Scarlet or Epic.

It's just one camera with different features and specs.

It was called RED TWO a long ago.

We are back to the beginning again but now with a pretty stronger concept or an idea.

Didn't Jim say the changes would apply to Epic and Scarlet? - No mention of dumping the names.

Hmmm.... does it have anything to do with RED-CAGE, RED-RAIL (already existing maybe?), RED Quick (RED Rush equivalent?) or the RED-GUN? :sarcasm:
 
Maybe Jim just made a deal with the Big 3 to switch
from making autos to Scarlets, REDS & Epic's???
 
ummm. breakthroughs...?-better dr. Although i concede that it is more of a wish fantasy than a probable reality. I can't see any other area for breakthroughs on top of what has been presented... DR is the holy grail in sensor technology. At this point it is like beating the sound barrier. And film is the barrier to overcome. IMHO
 
I was really cautious about getting rid of my GL-1, but now I know that these cameras might just be better. :shifty:
 
Sounds great as long as it has 2 xlr outputs, fire-wire output, comes with one of their low end batteries and the cable to make that viewfinder work without paying extra or as an add on.
Im sure Jim wont let us down since he hasn't so far.
He knows that if he gave us a Scarlet that we had to buy all these add ons that normally come standard with an HVX200 or Sony EX1 or what not, then we would be really bummed and probably be out of the 3k ready out of the box price range that was promised.
