Brazil Workshop Videos

Ketch, it keeps coming up on the forum. ETTR or ETTL in regard to exposure and best practices? Or are they both good for different situations?

One last thing. The debate over native ISO. 320 or 800?

Thanks my friend for your input.

Will,

what they are talking about is EXPOSURE TO THE LEFT or EXPOSURE TO THE RIGHT I don't do either, I always expose in the MIDDLE, no matter of how much DR I have to play with, I always try to get the best exposure possible, if I have no choice then I use HDRX, but if you were to choose, since you are using RAW data, then always expose right, if you are not certain of exposing properly, better stay right, hence ETTR then staying left hence ETTL, as you'll give your sensor a chance to gather more usable data exposing to the right, but try always not to do that either, and instead expose in the center, were your Histogram gives you the best of both worlds, not sacrificing neither the Shadows or the Highlights... ;)

The debates of ISO for me don't exist, as I simply don't read them, they are a waist of time, I shoot always at what ever Native ISO my camera sensor has, and adjust lighting form there.

This arguments are long ones, but I will be explaining them in detail in my Next Video "EPIC in FASHION" which will also touch very specifically on EXPOSURE and why this is your most CRITICAL moment in the capture of your image right after FOCUS... ;)
