We don't need an extra, just purchased RED EPIC Mysterium-X (Body only). This is a brand new, unopened box. This sells for $17,500. We will sell for $1,000 off.

And when I mean unopened, it is still in the sealed packaging sent from RED. This is a great discount for anyone looking to get a RED EPIC-X.

RED EPIC-X - $16,500.

How much warranty is left? Is the remaining warranty transferable?

Thanks

The full 1-year warranty should be valid. I believe RED has a $500 transfer fee. Since the package is brand new and unopened, you might want to call and see if they are willing to transfer the purchaser to you.

I remember in the past you were looking for a camera, did you get one since you're selling this one? Waiting for my "M" soon but is tempting. What is primary tool now?

Yes. Multiple Red Epic-X's. We have 1 too many now.

Good for you, at least you settled on a camera. What lenses and what mount (PL or EF) did you get? I have asked the same question (http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?113426-Best-lens-for-Epic) but not definitive answer. I am still on the fence about Epic M, will wait till pass the NAB and make my mind then. Right now I use my Canon 5DMKIII (coming from still land) and this would be a good reason to get the EF mount since I can use the same lenses on both cameras, but PL looks more pro to the eye....Might sell or retire the 5D and go straight video, although I love B&W photography (some on my Facebook album, some published). Another reason I am still on the fence is the current market situation, my tag teams have no real jobs and don't want to spend a lot of $$$ for personal use as a hobby without any use for production. Have looked around in AZ, not too many RED users and seems hard to tag along even with an Epic M.
I could buy the camera (set) right now, but waiting to make some connections, test the waters, talk to some people.

Working on an offer now.

Danny - I went with a PL mount. I find it just too difficult to focus still lenses. I also went with an electronic follow focus, AC-7, and terabolt with a blackmagic monitor for video village. I love my 5DII with 70-200L for photography and my 7D for action, but just got fed up with too many shots out of focus. I also went with the Schneider Xenon Primes. I was torn between the CP-2's and Xenons. I indulged in the Xenon's to satisfy my "cool gear" itch. I also went with the O'Connor O-box and Pelican cases with TrekPak inserts. I went with Anton-Bauer Dionic-HC's for power.

The blackmagic 4k wasn't out so I didn't consider it, but I love the ability to do higher frame rates of the Epic. It was expensive to get this feature, but important to me.
