Booting Hang-up on 15

[REDFEAT]

After 15 was successfully installed, had a booting hang after black shading calibration. Tried the pull power and click the power button 3x quickly and was able to power up the camera. 15 was reinstalled and booted up fine, ran through the various formats and looked at different frame rates then powered down. Today the booting hang has again stalled the power up and the power button fix has not worked.

Any ideas?

Had a similar problem. Seems the camera wasn't booting with a CF card in. Try removing any media and then rebooting?

I'm getting this problem too. We should be able to power up the camera with the monitor, not that it's hard to unplug the monitor, but it shouldn't be a problem.

We had this today. The issue occurred when we switched from CF to Drive. Camera was powered down during the swap (during a break in shooting). The recently used CF was removed (probably not specifically unmounted before camera power down, if that's relevant), then the RED Drive (last formatted on Build 14, I believe) was connected. The boot hung (just after I'd commented to the AC that I'd read something about Build 15 hanging during boot for some people).

We powered down, tried again, same result. Booted again with the Drive disconnected, same result. Then inserted the previously used CF and booted again - had a sucessful boot. Umounted CF, connected RED Drive, formatted to Build 15 and everything was okay from there on out I think.
