  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Bomb EVF Shipping

We still have to take care of the people with the first gen RED EVF on backorder - but you and Rick got right in there quick on the new orders, Matthew :)

There are touchscreens coming for Epic/Scarlet , but we still are making the 5" and 7" LCD's for the RED ONE right now, as the R1 cannot take advantage of the touchscreen.

The Epics however can use the new and old EVF's, and the current LCD's ( just with no touchscreen functions of course )
 
What I'm thinkin' of doing is taking two bomb EVF's, connect them together to two Reds and monitor in stereo like binocular-vision. Almost got this to work with the old EVF's but they were just a bit too wide. What I would LOVE to know is if you guys have tried this yet, and if not, would it be alright to try it out at Red Studios, I can bring two bodies and my rig down for a test. If it works, I'm down for two bombs!

the resolution specs seem about the same, is there more of a difference than just weight?

Question about those touchscreens. Why did you all do a 5" touchscreen? The current 5.6" LCD is as small as I would really want to go. I like the 7" screen as it's really the perfect size, but what you all have put out so far is a 5" and a 9". Seems like a 7" would be a really nice in-between size.

I thought the 5" screens complimented the EPIC-X in stripped-down handheld configuration very well, when seeing them in Vegas. Of course, I guess they will be making a 9" screen as well.
