Hi!

Before I go ahead and file a ticket... did anyone experience something similar?

My BOMB EVF is extremely dark... and there is a strong magenta color cast to the entire image... I can barely see what's on the screen.

When the camera starts, I see the color chart fine but only for the tiniest fraction of the second... then immediately the image goes very dark, with that magenta color cast.

Tried both on the old build and also the new build... rebooted the camera several times... checked all cable combinations (I have three cables - all of them work just fine with the PRO LCD 7" and the 5" Touch LCD)... same problem.

Perhaps this is a known issue I've been unaware of, so let me know if anyone else has any suggestions...

Thanks!
George

Is the Bomb new or has it just developed this problem. Agree with everyone, no matter what, file a ticket.

I think I've got EXACTLY the same problem. I'd rather say that the color cast is deep red, not magente. The brightness buttons do work-on that deep red. I suspect it's just an internal connector problem (that happened to me more than once with the Red One 7" LCD) that gets loose and lets only the red channel work... hope so! I'm checking that today.

This may sound silly... But one day, all day, I had the same problem, for the life of me I did know what was going on.. dark crap image..

Then at the end of the day, I noticed two small buttons in the front of the EVF under the output calbe... I pressed them the the picture came back nice and bright... BRIGHTNESS CONTROLS which I have never seen or touch for 8 months of having a RED EVF.

I doupt this is your problem.. but ? ya never know...

Probably same problem as mine.
Any update Guido?
