When I start up my Scarlet, the EVF shows the color bars (as usual) however, they won't go away! Altough I can see on my sidehandle the camera is powered up and ready to shoot. When I attach a Red LCD there's no problem.. So there's nothing wrong with the camera, cable or LCD, and I doubt if there's something wrong with my evf.. Which worked flawlessy the past year!
I also tried rolling back to older firmware without succes...

Can anyone help me on this?

Thanks!
Piet

Does anyone have any idea?? Quite urgent!!

Can you try another cable? If not, try putting the camera end of the cable on the EVF, and vice versa. So the data flow is reversed on the cable, so to speak. Can you try it on another Scarlet?

Switching cables didn't work out, I also changed the 'cable ends' without success.
I tried it on an Epic and everything worked flawless... :-(

This is a shot in the dark, but try going to the last firmware you remember the EVF working with. I've noticed that when I attach the EVF to a camera after updating the firmware it says "updating peripherals..."

i've seen this happen, but not in your situation. it happened when we were trying to hook up lcd, evf, and all sdi outputs via pro I/O. there wasn't enough processing power/voltage to keep a signal going to everything so it defaulted the evf to just a chip chart. there might be an issue with the evf itself.

when in doubt try a firmware reflash first.

It is probably a firmware issue. I had similar problems when mounting my +1 module .

Firmware updates or reinstalling the latest didn't do anything.
When I attach my evf to the Epic there's no problem, my guess it's a software power bug, the evf maybe doesn't get enough power to startup?
