  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Blue Noise/Noise - Black Shading - Using RCX

When raising ISO or lowering ISO, my histogram reading changes. Clipping stays the same. So it does appear like this is just visual and the camera is not changing, just my histogram.

If ISO is metadata only, shouldn't the histogram stay the same?

As it is, the histogram is read from post metadata. Thus, it will change as you change metadata... As - most likely - your ND and aperture prefernces might. Thus: the "it's only metadata" thingy is a bit misleading, if you are not relating conciously to it...

G,

I am referring to the histogram in camera. As I change the ISO, the histogram shifts. Again this is in camera before recording. This is without changing my aperture or adding/subtracting NDs.

So as I adjust ISO in camera I am also changing the meta data that will be recorded, similar to changes of ISO in RCX?
