  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

BlinkyTM online

I saw this last week, I didn't know anything about it so it felt more shocking then if I'd seen the trailers. Although I like the trailers, I do think they gave away too much.

I think it's the best short I've seen in a very long time and plays on your mind for a long time after.

Personally I don't think it would make a good feature though. I think it's the perfect length as it is.
I agree with another poster that the beginning part felt a little staged. I also felt that it probably didn't need the very end shot. I think sounds could of been more chilling or maybe a more clinical view of him performing his obligatory task at the end. As it is it came across like he was enjoying it all too much which kind of made it less disturbing. But these are really small nit pics. For what you and the crew have achieved is truly amazing and you should be very proud.

I also thought how cool it would be to have a toy Blinky. Especially one with a button that when pressed says "I just want to be you friend" and "no problem!"

Ha. we now say "I just want to be your friend" "No Problem" almost every day at work. thanks again Ruairi!

What was the color correcting method used for the film? It looks amazing by the way.

Is it just or me or this thread pretty quiet for one attached to such an amazing film.

Looks like Mr Robinson's hard work has indeed payed off. This just in from Variety:

Ruairi Robinson is attached to direct sci-fi film The Fallen for Lionsgate UK and Harry Brown producer Kris Thykier.

The $35 million film "is about an alien spaceship that crash lands in Russia. When it creates a 400-mile electronic dead-zone, international special ops teams are sent in to neutralize it."

The original script was written by Andrew Will (Joseph Kosinski's upcoming Archangel).

The Fallen is expected to shoot in early 2012. Congrats Ruairi!

Is there a reason the video requires a password now? Would like to send link to others to see it.
