  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Blair Paulsen

It's great to see the EPIC-Ms on the move again. Also glad to see the EPIC resting so comfortably on the 1030 set-up....looks like a nice fit.

Enjoy your camera, Blair.

One of the many benefits of Epic's form factor is the ability to use heads like the O'Connor 1030HD. I love the 2575 as much as the next guy but its a beast to wrangle. With the single stage Cartoni A303 CF legs my entire support system is under 12 lbs and the action is pure O'Connor goodness.

RED Team shout out

RED Team shout out

At the risk of contributing to the noise level, I have to publicly thank the incredible Red Team. Jim's vision, leadership and skill at assembling and driving the talents at RDC has turned me into a fanboy - of the company.
Don't get me wrong, I love the camera, I believe it to be the highest performance motion camera on the planet, but its the paradigm shift that I embrace.
I look forward to posting some footy next week, shot some wicked stuff yesterday, its a good day to have an M.

Congrats Blair!
Awesome BUddy...
Happy shooting.

I actually shot a family event yesterday on the Epic-M with the Angie Rouge 16-42. Available light, no crew, etc. Used 3 stops of HDRx as the room had a lot of windows. Obviously its a sub-optimal situation for great images as the lighting is random, multi-source mixed color temp but I am looking forward to grading it as an exercise.

I have also been shooting some scenes designed to challenge HDRx and look forward to the release of a more sophisticated blend mode so I can post them.

Please also post the difficult stuff

Please also post the difficult stuff

Blair, the difficult private event w. random lighting, HDRX and mixed color temperatures would be extremely informative for those of us that do docs! I hope that you can post something like it to show how these situations can be handled by Epic (and Scarlet).
