Blackshade Persistence -- Mag Format

​I have been using my Epic for stills recently and one issue is that changing exposure times is not very convenient. If the change is large then a new cal map is needed. I have a set of maps at varying exposures, but these need to be on the mini-mag in order to be loaded in to the camera. As soon as a mag gets formatted -- which I do with each offload -- the maps then need to be copied back over from a laptop. Is there any way that maps that are on a mag could be left alone during a format? This would make it much easier to have an array of maps available.
