Blackmagic Ultra StudioX and Red Cine X

Hi All,

Doing some Red tests next week.

In DaVinci when using Alexa I use a Blackmagic Ultra studio mini monitor to output to a monitor for making looks

If using a dragon can I do the same in Red cine X?

If so is there anything I need to know?

If not what is the best solution?

I've tested red footage using this device in Davinci Resolve and it works fine but it won't work in RedCine X.

RedCine X seems to recognise the Mini monitor but it still won't output.

Any solutions guys?

For creating looks I need to output from my iMac to a calibrated monitor.


If someone who knows can kindly tell me how to attach a screen grab on here I'll put a pic up. The insert image option only allows for URL

Did you set it up in your preferences and then click on the little monitor icon below the main image viewer?

The mini monitor works fine, I use it all the time. You probably haven't clicked the icon for video out in the viewer window

Steve and Jake thank you so much for solving such a simple problem that when I called RED they didn't suggest....That said I feel a bit foolish now haha
