BlackMagic, HDMI and 4096x2160 DCI monitoring

Looking for some advice...

I just bought a 'HP DreamColor Z31x 79 cm (31.1") 4096 x BU 2160 pixels 4K' to be used as a fullscreen monitor for our secondary workstation.

Will a DeckLink 4k Mini Monitor give me the same signal as the more expensive options?

Secondly, are there any drawbacks using HDMI for monitoring? The Z31x supports HDMI 2.0.

The 4K mini monitor (PCIe) is 6G, so only 30hz. The monitor is 60Hz. The BM card has HDMI 2.0a. You'll want a card with HDMI 2.0b for HDR (HLG and PQ transfer functions).

Edit: The monitor is SDR only. This card will work fine for what you have.

Thank you Simon, as I was hoping for a cheaper solution, I did some extra research. It seems, since BM hardware conforms to SMPTE standards, they are only outputting a given fps. So the monitor itself can show, as an example, a 24 fps stream at 60hz.

The SDI output on the mini monitor is limited, but the HDMI should give full 4k DCI quality.
