BMCC6K FULL FRAME CAMERA / Blackmagic Cinema Camera FOOTAGE

Some interpretations of those sample files shot my Mark Mann.

Wasn't that hard to get the skin-tones looking normal, then just started playing around with it -

A more normal looking grade in motion -

Seems to me like another one of those really capable camera's that would be a day one purchase or rental, if RED hadn't already covered so many of those bases years ago and weren't continuing to develop things in their own direction.

Good to see first hand the BM colour, resolution and workflow characteristics have reached a level where it's more about the actual acquisition side of things now.

Still think in most cases there are other camera's I'd rather use based on that, but can't knock BM at all for what they've managed to come up with. That's a lot of camera for a more 'budget' option.

Seems like more than ever now it's just a case of pick your poison and be done with it.

Canon R5C vs Blackmagic 6K Full Frame - A Detailed Technical Comparison

By
Josh Sattin

That's cool to finally see if the R5C had less dynamic range capability to the 6KFF and the 6KFF really kicks butt in that test. However, I can see that advantage going away if Canon refines things in an R5C Mark II and some rumors point to them possibly making one by NAB. The R5C always sits at the bottom of my list anyhow as I'm far more interested in the Nikon Z8/Z9 and URSA 12K anyway but it is a respectable camera nonetheless and clearly it does very well if you don't push it too hard and in most cinematic circumstances it wouldn't be.

Blackmagic Design is offering on their website their EVF free for one week with the Cameras listed below, a $495 value. I Haven't seen any coupon code on Blackmagic's website, forum or at B&H so maybe it will all start tomorrow or something.
