Black vs custom colors vs stormtrooper

Just to clarify for myself in case im missing anything, there's no hardware difference between the black production komodos and the colored or stormtrooper ones right? It's just that colored ones were released first, then stormtrooper, then black. The stormtrooper powdered coating might have some issues with accessories, but besides that, all the build qualities and internals are the same right?

There's no internal difference like leica lenses where theres aluminum vs brass casings depending on version and color right?

JEFFREY HSIUNG I am all but certain that there are not only hardware differences between the black production cameras and the earlier models; but also differences in hardware when comparing two black production cameras. The supply chain shortages all but assured this. Were higher priced or cheaper components used in certain runs? If so which cameras have what? It’s impossible to know. I honestly wouldn’t worry about it.

The same thing is happening at Sony and others.

Okay, so there’s no official hardware differences between production and pre-production/beta models. I can understand the variation in parts due to supply chain shortage, so that’s fine. Was just wondering if I was missing out on something if I get a black production Komodo vs a used ST one or something in terms of official hardware. All good. Thank you!

Only thing you'll miss out on is seeing an annoyingly white camera reflecting back at you in shiny surfaces.

Yeah, outside of the faddish novelty quality of the ST, black is the way to go.
