I am having a very weird problem with Redcine, the actual view frame is always black but i can see the footage in the overlay outside of the frame, i turn off show black in the library and i get a normal thumbnail in the library but only black in the player. I am using a Quadro FX 3000 on a Dual Opteron running XP. If i output i get black frames as well.

I'm pretty sure that FX 3000 is too old to offer support for the advanced shader models. If you look in the redcine log file (readme describes where to find it) I'm sure you will see some lines of features your graphics card does not support.

You need a modern Nvidia card (doesn't necessarily have to be a Quadro) to run redcine under Windows (ATI X1900 for Mac OS X).

Hi

Just for the protocol, I also get this type of error on my dual Xeon (4 cores), 4 gigs of RAM, Quadro 4400SDI equipped system.

In 3 days it will be a year since this thread has been started and it seems like not much has changed. It would have been kinda funny if it wasn't so sad.

O

I get black frame when I first open the files but touching the exposure slider brings up the image. I thought I needed to put a number in the exposure setting on the camera but that didn't help either and still need to touch the slider to see anything.
