Black shading with red epic

hi i had an interesting problem last week with epic. When i change resolution on the camera (for example 4k hd) the camera wasnt able to perform black shading operation. Basicly a warning sign which says 'black shading failed' appears on the screen. Only at 5k i was able to perform black shading. What is exacly the way to do a black shading? Is there any particular settings that i have to choose ?( a friend of mine told me that the iso should be 800 when black shading. dunno if its true)

Hi Utku,

We are on 4KHD, 25fps, build 1.6.24, 800 ASA and blackshading performs well.

Black shading is always done at the max resolution so for now best to do it at the normal 5k resolutions.

So is it better to switch to 5KFF bevor blackshading and then switch back to 4KHD, although it works with 4KHD?

Not necessary for 4k HD but generally it'll remove any variables if you go to 5k FF.
