I am sure it is something so simple. Both my LCDs (both small and large touchscreens) have a very very even magenta hue after black shading. I have the lens caps on with black cloth on top.

I have a Panavision mount so I cannot put a lens up at the moment. I have done auto and manual black shades. Any ideas? Here is a screenshot.

Try having a look in the maintenance menu and select the "enable sensor test pattern" Does this have a magenta hue? Bring up the onscreen menus and see if they are magenta hued?
If the menus have a magenta hue I would try changing out the LCD cable. If you have any footage on a SSD you could playback and see if it's clean?
If nothing makes sense maybe a hard reset if no love it's time to talk to the boys at Red? Good luck.

Is your exposure check button toggled by any chance? That would be the first thing I would thing produces a magenta screen.

Hello -- might be worth a try: Under Settings --> Display, --> Tools, under Tools, turn to OFF.

David & all of you kind folk. Yes that was it. How embarrassing. I do not know how that exposure check button became on but that was it. All good now.

Merci mille fois

Glad it you solved it Peter. I use exposure check on power up, when the whole screen goes magenta it lets me know the sensor is up to temp.

Happy shooting.

Stuff like this happens all the time. So many options/possibilities/buttons (which is good)
Not embarrassing at all.

Cheers, glad all is fine!
