hi everyone.

i am getting a consistent black shade failure. its never happened before. i am on the newest scarlet dragon firmware, my port cap is on, and the camera is covered with black cloth. i m using DC power and a clean 64 mag (camera formatted).

(temp is green/green until i start calibration, and E goes to E+ immediately upon starting the black shade calibration for pass 0...it then comes back to green/green when beginning pass 1).

any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

Did you try turning the camera off then on and then calibrating?
I once had a bad black shading, and no matter how many times I black shaded, the issue was still there, until I restarted the camera, which solved it.

If that doesn't work, try another mag, then try reinstalling the firmware, if it still doesn't work, try going back to an older firmware.

Edit: Also try Secure Formatting the mag.

If all fails, maybe the camera needs to be fixed at Red (hope not).

Let it get up to temp and just keep trying.

also try to restore factory defaults. Shut down. Walk away, go for a walk.

When you come back from some nice me time. Say hello to you camera (with a smile). Power her up, get her to temp and then run a black shading calibration.

Its worked for for me in the past. :)

i have done multiple shutdowns... i started on the previous firmware and thought that could be the cause, so i went up to the current version.

EDIT: i got one to save at this point. i deleted all stored maps (excluding factory), set the fan to allow +4 degrees hotter to hold core temp, and used a different mag. fingers crossed the others will work!
