black screen on view mode REC709 and REDspace

hello everybody in the forum.
I'm shutting on 4K 2:1 REDcode 36 and when I'm set the video menu
sub menu view on REC709 or REDspace I'm getting a black screen on the LCD and viewfinder and can get a picture only on RAW mode.
have somebody ever bump in to it?

Never seen that, or even heard of it. What build are you running? Have you tried restarting the camera?

I've run build 17 and yes I've try to restart my camera couple of times with and without LCD and viewfinder cables and got the same result.

Reset the camera. Someone has probably dialed in a look or a curve that is all black.

Setup / Maintenance / Restore / Check all three boxes / Choose Restore

I just had that same problem twice yesterday. I had build 17th for quite some time and there is no look dialed in. I was shooting 4K 16:9, Redcode 36 and MAX checked in. I was also shooting in cold and it was little wind so that could be another factor.
Anyway, this just appeared to happen yesterday and camera was behaving great so far so I will keep an eye on it and on this thread

Go check your gain settings. I bet they are dialed down. RGB that is.

I am not sure what is triggering it but it might be the look reset function. I don't know.

I do not think there this is related to settings. I did not dial any settings and I did not touch gain. It would be black and then after rebooting it would work for next several times. It was just cold and maybe that was the factor.
I will be looking for symptoms and also try to see if that happens when recording to CF cards since they should not be affected by cold as much.

Thanks for all those who reply to my question, right now the cameraman working on RAW view mode and the camera will return to weekend and then I'll check it, I'm supporting Mariusz's position of restoring all the camera functions to clean any software collision.

I never said you changed the gain, I am saying that there is a rare bug that changes it for you. If you have this issue, it's just another place to check.

IF you see the image in RAW mode then it is most certainly in the color matrix. This is not a "cold" issue.
